Believing that protesting is not enough, Ellen photographed nearly 50 people saying what they resist and what they embrace. These portraits are part of her larger Ribbons of Resistance project. They  are also included in her limited edition artist book set, RESIST. A selection of these portraits were featured in her exhibition at Bonfire Gallery marking the anniversary of the Women’s March. 2017 and again at Atlas Arts in Seattle in 2018
