Photographic Center Northwest/ Solstice, 2016
I participated in this annual international photographic event for the fourth time to benefit the PCNW. Over 24 hours, from noon June 18 to noon June 19, Chiara Carcano and I photographed the floating home docks and their environs on Lake Union and Portage Bay. These docks are normally off-limits to the public but through the Floating Home Association, we were able to gain permission to access them. After a marathon of shooting, we went our separate ways and processed our images, submitting five for consideration. One each was selected and included in the exhibition of work by photographers from around the region and the world. The event yielded $20,000 for the PCNW.
