Museum of Glass/Collection and Exhibition September 2016
I’m delighted to announce that my work in now included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Glass. During a residency at MOG in 2008, I worked with hot shop manager and chief gaffer Ben Cobb, gaffer Gabe Feenan and others to create “beneficial micro-organisms” that became the central focus of Collection and Transformation, a permanent installation at the Brightwater Environmental Education Center. Recently, the Museum acquired other “micro-organisms” created during that residency for the collection. Configured as a unique work, it will be included in an upcoming exhibition, Into the Deep, opening September 24.
