It’s All About The Water
Brightwater Environmental Education Center, Woodinville, WA. Commissioned by the King County, WA, Public Art Program, managed by 4Culture
A fanciful representation of microbial matter that assists in cleaning wastewater (vitreous enamel on float glass with etched laminated antique glass). 2011
Located in the main gathering hall of the Brightwater Waste Water Treatment Plant Environmental Education Center, the artwork celebrates nature’s role in cleaning wastewater. Ciliates, rotifers and fungi inspired the imagery but its colorful representation is pure fantasy.
Ellen worked with a master glass painter Rahmi Schulz at Derix Studio to realize the project.
