Gingko Biloba was created during the first blush of spring when the trees were most luxurious with bright chartreuse leaves. The mixed media work includes a folded book that speaks to the facts associated with the Gingko. When opened, the text references the meaning of Gingko to different cultures and describes the healing powers ascribed to it by alternative medicine.

“Gingko Biloba” is an edition of 2 with each version slightly different in composition and container. Version #1 includes a double-sided rice paper cyanotype and the double-sided text booklet on Hiromi Asuka Pure White Rice paper. The container has a cyanotype printed directly on the painted surface. Version #2 includes a double-sided cyanotype on Canson watercolor paper, the folded booklet on Hiromi Asuka Pure White. The container is painted pink with a cyanotype affixed to the surface.
